Kafue District Commissioner Gibson Sinkala has warned civil servants in the district to desist from taking part in partisan politics.
Speaking during the first quarter of the District Development Coordination committee (DDCC) meeting, Mr. Sinkala warned civil servants to leave partisan politics to politicians and those in the political front.
Mr. Sinkala said that he will not hesitate to institute disciplinary measures on any civil servant found wanting.
He said will not condone any indiscipline among civil servants serving in the district.
“As you may be aware that this year 2021, we going to have General Elections on August 12, let me take this opportunity to warn all civil servants in the district today to desist from taking part in partisan politics,” he said
Mr. Sinkala, however, urged civil servants to work hard and develop the district.
He emphasized on the spirit of togetherness and commitment to service delivery to develop the nation.
“The government under the able leadership of his Excellency Dr. Edgar Changwa Lungu the President of the Republic of Zambia has worked hard and continues to do so to bring development to Zambia and Kafue in particular,” Mr.Sinkala said.
Mr. Sinkala requested all cooperating partner in the district to continue working with government in the provision of quality services to the people of Kafue.
He said government appreciates their support that is aimed at enhancing development in Kafue and the nation at large.
