Chilenje hospital receives full body sanitizer


Patriotic Front (PF) Kabwata constituency aspirant candidate Danny Yenga has donated thermometers and a walk-in full-body Sanitizer machine to Chilenje level 1 hospital.

Mr Yenga explained that he was compelled to make the donation because of the high cases of Covid – 19 the institution was recording.

He expressed optimism that the machine will assist in reducing infections especially for people who visit the health facility.

“When we heard that Chilenje hospital has been hit by Covid – 19 and is housing a lot of patients. No wonder we decided to donate this machine without any delay,” he said.

Mr Yenga assured management at Chilenje level 1 hospital of servicing the machine should need arise.

The PF Kabwata constituency aspirant candidate advised management to station the machine strategically were people coming into the hospital can be sanitized.

Mr Yenga stressed that the donation is one way of joining hands with President Lungu in fighting the pandemic.

“We want to be part of what President Lungu is preaching supporting the fight against the coronavirus pandemic,” He said.

He assured the people in Kabwata constituency that every clinic will receive a walk in full body sanitizer.

In a related development, Mr Yenga has repaired the Chilenje level 1 mortuary which has not been working for a year.

And speaking on behalf of management at Chilenje level 1 hospital, Acting Head Clinical Care Chisengo Kapihya thanked Mr Yenga for partnering with the institution in fighting covid-19.

Dr Kapihya says the donation will go a long way in reducing COVID-19 infections.

Meanwhile PF Kabwata constituency Chairman Trevor Ng’andu says he is happy that aspiring candidates in the constituency are supplementing government efforts in the fight against COVID-19.

“We are happy that aspirant candidates are donating towards the fight against COVID-19.”

He described the donation as a great gesture in combating the coronavirus pandemic.

Mr Ng’andu assured all aspiring candidates of a level playing fields as elections draw closer.

“As we are going towards voting time as a party we are going to level the playing field.”

He noted that as a constituency, they stand ready to work with any aspiring candidate in a bid to improve healthcare services at Chilenje hospital.
