Chipolopolo Coach Milutin Sredojevic says the national team is ready to take on Tanzania at the 2021 CHAN in tomorrow’s group D opening encounter to be played in Cameroon.
In a pre-match interview held in Cameroon today, Sredojevic who is popularly known as ‘Micho’ said Tanzania has a competitive league which has good players, which makes room for Zambia to put up a good performance on the field.
He said that the Tanzanian side have given the Chipolopolo boys confidence to play extremely well in tomorrow’s game, owing to them being a good team to compete with.
He expressed confidence that the friendly matches that the Chipolopolo boys have had before the tournament has helped them have a clear picture of what is supposed to be done on the pitch.
“We are working very hard in order for those beatings to be on our side against Tanzania,” Micho said.
And Chipolopolo team captain Adrian Chama says the country is at the tournament to compete and showcase what it has to offer to the rest of the continent.
He expressed optimism that with the good practice and friendly matches played, the team is ready for victory come tomorrow against the Tanzanian side.
Zambia will play Tanzania tomorrow before meeting Guinea and Namibia in the same group.
