President Edgar Lungu has received the full report from the Inspector General of Police, Kakoma Kanganja on the shooting to death of two people in Lusaka last month.
President Lungu says he has studied the report and has since handed it over to the Director of Public Prosecution for her attention.
President Lungu, however, stated that the due process of the law must take place.
A State Prosecutor, Nsama Nsama and a United Party for National Development (UPND) supporter, Joseph Kaunda were shot dead on December 23, 2020 as Police tried to disperse UPND supporters who had gathered to show solidarity for their party president, Hakainde Hichilema at Police Headquarters where he went for questioning.
