The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says the Zambia National Soccer Team Head Coach, Aljosa Asanovic and his assistants are expected to join the team in Durban South Africa today for COSAFA quarter finals against Botswana.
In a statement made available to ZANIS, FAZ General Secretary, Adrian Kashala says this will be as soon as challenges with their VISAs are addressed by the South African Immigration department and relevant local authorities.
Kashala stated that the association has since engaged organisers of the tournament and the two authorities to expedite and the process.
Kashala said he is confident that the process will be completed soon and urged the football family in Zambia not to panic.
He revealed that the Chipolopolo has settled in well and are ready for tomorrow’s match.
Kashala urged the public to rally behind the boys as they take on Botswana at King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban tomorrow.
Five-time champions Zambia join the COSAFA Cup at the quarterfinal stage with the opening game being at 17:00 hours which will be broadcasted live on SuperSport 9.
