Local inventor comes up with alternative to the traditional use of char-coal

A Choma based man, Syrus Mfula, has invented what he terms as  charcoal briquettes to be used as alternative to the traditional use of char-coal.

Mr. Mfula says his invention is in support of the new dawn government’s establishment policy of promoting the green economy as it is an  alternative to charcoal.

He says his innovation will help prevent  the indiscriminate cutting down of trees for charcoal production.

ZANIS reports that the local innovator said this in an interview, Saturday.

The charcoal briquettes that uses agriculture and plastic waste materials also fights the negative effects of climate which have adversely affected the weather patterns.



The local innovator who is also Elite investment holdings proprietor explained that he is capable of producing 30 tonnes of charcoal briquettes per day.

Mr. Mfula however explained that his company cannot produce to the maximum due to luck of transport to move raw materials from the source to the production site.
