Psychosocially challenged teenager axes sibling to death in Isoka

A suspected 19 year old  psychosocially challenged teenager has  allegedly axed his eleven year old sibling to death in Isoka  Town, Muchinga Province.

ZANIS reports that Muchinga Police  Deputy  commanding Officer Lucky Munkondya who confirmed in an interview Saturday revealed that on 15 September around 22:00  hours an eleven year old boy  Maybin Simwendo  was allegedly killed by elder brother  Andrew Simwendo for an unknown reason.

Ms. Mukondya narrated that on the material day the assailant was sleeping in the same room with his now late sibling whom he axed him to death for unknown reasons and later fled the village.


“  Isoka police officers rushed to the scene  of murder in Chiwanda  village section 1  in chief Kafwimbi ‘s. Area   and found the victim in a pool of blood  with an axe still stuck on his neck, “ she said.

The Police  Deputy  commanding has since advised   Families with psychosocially challenged persons to be always alert to avoid a repeat of such incidences in the near future.

The body of the deceased has since been  deposited in Isoka mortuary.
