Govt. up-scales fight against GBV in Southern Province.

A combined team of officers from the Judiciary, National prosecution Authority, Zambia police, ministry of Health officials and other line ministries have joined hands to close the gaps in dispensing Justice to Gender based violence (GBV ) survivors.

Speaking during the stakeholders meeting on Monday, Choma District Commissioner Sikaleya Gamela reaffirmed government’s commitment towards curbing the escalating GBV vice in the province.

Mr. Gamela also commended the American people through the Presidential Emergency plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and USAID for supporting the Zambia Centre for communication (ZCC)  programs.

ZCC is the implementer of USAID Stop Gender-based violence project in eight Provinces with 31 stop Centers across the country.
