Muchinga 2023 Expo preps underway

The Provincial Administration in Muchinga Province has called on civil servants to take part in the preparations towards the hosting of the Muchinga Investment Forum and Expo due  in October, 2023.

Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary, Henry Mukungule, says it is important that every civil servant including the private sector take ownership of the event as it is key in transforming the economy of the region and the country as a whole.

Mr. Mukungule adds that the participation of each sector will help the province to be what it needs to be.

ZANIS reports that the Permanent Secretary was speaking during a virtue Provincial Development Coordinating Committee (PDCC) Meeting held in Chinsali this morning.

“If we host this Expo very well, the province will be developed and this is the only way change can be seen in our province,” Mr Mukungule said.

He further noted that both the public and private sectors including the business communities need to work together in showcasing the region’s natural resources and woo local and foreign investors.

Mr. Mukungule also noted that the province needs urgent and rapid economic transformation in order to support government development agenda for the province.

The goal of the Expo is to eradicate poverty and showcase the potential areas of investment the province possess.

Mr. Mukungule has since called on all civil servants and parastatals among other institutions to put ideas together so that the planned Muchinga Expo can be a success.

The Muchinga Province Investment Forum and Expo is scheduled for October 3rd to October 8th, 2023 in Chinsali District.
