VEEP donates K20,000 to Umoyo foundation

Vice President Mutale Nalumango has donated Twenty Thousand Kwacha to Umoyo orphanage Centre to solve some problems of the foundation.

The Vice President stated that the government appreciates and recognizes the role that Non-Governmental Organizations play in uplifting the welfare of the vulnerable in society.

ZANIS reports that Ms Nalumango said this through Lusaka Province Minister ,Sheal Mulyata who also handed the money to the foundation at the Girl Child foundation conference in Lusaka yesterday.

Mrs Nalumango reiterated that the government will continue to work in collaboration with stakeholders in improving the living standards of children, especially the girl child.

 “We are aware that when we educate our girls the benefits are endless”, “she said.

 And Umoyo orphanage Centre Chief executive officer, Faith Matoka thanked the Vice President for the gesture.

She stated that the objective of the foundation is to educate a girl Child specifically the vulnerable ones.
