President Hichilema on a day’s working visit in Eastern province

President Hakainde Hichilema is tomorrow expected to commission the One Stop Border Post at Chipata and Mchinji with his Malawian counterpart Lazarous Chakwera.

President Hichilema, who will be on a one day working visit is expected to land on Wednesday morning at Mfuwe International Airport in Mambwe district.

ZANIS reports that Easter province minister, Peter Phiri has confirmed this in an interview in Chipata on Tuesday.

Mr. Phiri said the Head of State is expected to connect to Chipata by air from the international airport.

The commissioning of the Mwami one stop border facility will ease the way of conducting business for the two neighboring countries and ultimately enhance regional integration.

Overall, the development will bring a lot of economic benefits not only for the two countries, but the sub-region as a whole.
