Christians counseled against fighting each other

Chilanga Constituency Ministers Fellowship Chairperson, Richard Sikazwe has called on Christians to use the Easter period to unite and show love to one another.

Reverend Sikazwe says Easter is a period when Christians should exercise restraint from name calling, hatred, tribalism and all kinds of vices that will divide Christians.

He expressed sadness with Christian denominations fighting against each other saying it negatively reflects on Zambia as a Christian nation.

Speaking to ZANIS in Chilanga, Rev. Sikazwe said the holy week should accord people an opportunity to embrace each other and walk in love as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.

Rev. Sikazwe further said this is not the time to engage in partying and drug abuse but focus on the actions of Jesus Christ for man’s salvation.

Easter is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
